Yes, Casual work experience: Students in the Self-Placement Program arrange their work placement independently and the remuneration depends on student’s working experience and a job offer. The Program Requirement include; Aged 18–45,Study and Work Permit, Available for 8 weeks or more, Available for full-time intensive or super intensive language classes.
Your intended employment must be an essential part of your program of study in Canada and Intermediate English or French and above, depending on the language a student intends to use for internship or for placement.
Language Coop Program enrolment procedure:
1. Fill out the registration form and send it back by email, together with your detailed resume and a letter of intent http://www.miila.ca/coop-pdf/Letter-of-Intent.pdf outlining your career objectives and your individual characteristics that would make you a good candidate for the Language Coop Program.
2. Students who are selected for participation in the program will receive an invoice within 48 hours. After receiving the official invoice, the student must pay at least 20 % of the total amount, in order to be accepted into the program.
3. The official letter of acceptance will be sent to the student upon payment confirmation.
4. Once the student receives their visa or study permit, the remaining amount must then be paid prior to arrival. If a student does not receive the visa or permit letter 4 weeks before the start of the program, they will need to contact MIILA to postpone the start date of the program. If the visa is denied, a student must send a copy of the official rejection letter to get a full refund (less registration, placement, bank transfer and courier fees).
Since the student will not use the CADIVI for students, she can pay only the registration and accommodation fees in order to register. Once she gets the visa it will be necessary to pay the 4 weeks of accommodation. The rest of the payment could be made once she arrives in Montreal.
I can provide him with my banking information, so he can deposit mailing fees in my account. I can also send the letter by email, that way he will get it faster and he will avoid paying mailing fees. On the other hand, I will avoid going to the post office. This is what I usually do, I send letters of acceptance by email. I can help the student get his insurance.

We can make an exception but please advise the student to take a Language course before arriving, this way, she will not have problem to start the internship. Sometimes the employer could cancel the student internship when the level is not good enough. Finally, she request a 1 year program, the best case will be to apply for a 48 weeks program.
It turns out that we can only offer the winter camp package (with the activities included) in December, January and February. However, we’ll be glad to offer your students the regular course with the possibility of paying for the activities proposed by our Activity Coordinator separately, with the other students.
No problem, they can stay in the same apartment
The only remark is that the material fee is an approximate price, as it may vary according to the student's level. That's why it is recommended that the students buy the book after their first or second day at the school. The students are required to purchase the material only once per session.
The Canadian citizenships cannot take the COOP program because this program is only offered for international students. In that case, the best will be to take just the regular English course. Unfortunately, we do not know yet who will be the designated schools. We have to wait until the next week. We will inform you as soon as we confirm this information.
Do not worry, the furnished studios are not shared with other students. But I definitively recommend them the junior studio or the apartment with 2 bedrooms because the Studio - Single-person is too small for 3 people.
Since the student did not request accommodation, we would definitively recommend her just to take the Intensive course.
I don't mind sending the letter of acceptance by courier and including the cost of accommodation in the course price. However, I also have a question: Will he pay for sending the letter by courier beforehand? How does it usually work? I can provide him with my banking information, so he can deposit mailing fees in my account. I can also send the letter my email, that way he will get it faster and he will avoid paying mailing fees. On the other hand, I will avoid going to the post office. This is what I usually do, I send letters of acceptance by email. I can help the student get his insurance.
As you might know it is different to work with Venezuelan students. In case the students pays the course by their own you can always use the price list that you have but in case they decide to pay through their government (CADIVI) the payment must be made in USD$ Usually we ask the Venezuelan students the registration fee and the placement accommodation fee in order to issue the letter of acceptance, once that they receive the visa, the first 4 weeks of accommodation must be paid in order to receive the accommodation confirmation. In this case she will need to pay the full amount before arrival because she will take 4 weeks course. She can pay the course once in the school.
